Koray Energy Expands in Romania with 41.44 MWp of Solar Projects

Koray Energy is developing six solar projects in Romania with a total capacity of 41.44 MWp. Construction is progressing smoothly and without delays, reflecting our strong commitment to delivering on time.

By the end of 2025, three solar projects will be commissioned: Urleasca and Rosiori in September, followed by Sacele in October. Together, they will bring 17 MWp of clean solar capacity online, marking a strong year-end achievement.

The remaining 24 MWp is scheduled for commercial operation in the first quarter of 2026. While progress depends partly on Romania’s weather conditions, our goal is to complete them as early as possible.

Once fully operational, the 41.44 MWp Romanian portfolio will generate enough clean electricity to power around 12,000 households annually. It will also prevent approximately 20,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year—equivalent to removing nearly 4,500 cars from the road.

This portfolio is a key step in Koray Energy’s journey toward 1 GW of renewable capacity across Europe, while directly contributing to Romania’s clean energy transition and Europe’s Green Deal goals.
